6 Easy Halloween Costumes

Halloween weekend is fast approaching, which means it’s time to think about how you will be spending the spookiest day of the year. If you’re anything like me, you enjoy the Halloween season (pumpkins, candy, fall festivities), but when it comes to thinking up a costume, the stress levels start to rise. When I have a great costume idea, or even better, a great group costume idea, I’m all for dressing up. However, when Halloween is just not at the top of my priority list, I tend to procrastinate and therefore dread coming up with a costume. Wouldn’t it just be more fun to stay home and give out candy to trick-or-treaters?

If you find yourself in a bind this year, here are six super easy costumes. You many already own lot of these pieces, but if not, most are very affordable!

1. Flapper: I have dressed up as a flapper before, and it is just so easy! All you really need is a fun dress with beads, fringe, etc. and some costume jewelry.flapper

mesh beaded cocktail dress // gold headband // sequined headband with feather // studded pumps (loving these anyway!) // cigarette holder // long stranded pearls

2. Minion: Who doesn’t love these cuties from Despicable Me? This is definitely a popular costume this year, but truth be told, I’ve secretly been wanting a pair of overalls, and this seems like the perfect opportunity.minion

minion goggles // yellow long-sleeved tee // overalls (alternative here) // black gloves // black booties (without heel here)

3. Scarecrow: This costume is both scary and sweet. Check out this scarecrow make up tutorial, plus stick some of this crinkled grass out of your sleeves and at the bottom of your pant legs to complete the look.scarecrow

straw hat // flannel shirt // overalls (again) // liquid eyeliner // rosy lip balm

4. Greek Goddess: This may be the easiest one yet. If you don’t already have a white or cream maxi dress, the one below is under $50. Plus, it can be worn next summer!goddess

gladiator sandals // Grecian maxi dress (under $50!) // snake upper arm bracelet // leaf headband // waist belt

5. Nerd: Although this is a classic costume that has been done many times before, it’s just so simple. All of the components from this costume can be used in the future for other costumes as well. Bonus points for taping the nose bridge on those glasses.nerd

chino shorts // suspenders // costume glasses // knee high socks // sneakers // bow tie

6. Morton Salt Girl: How cute is this product logo? I saw this idea for a costume online somewhere a long time ago, and I’ve been wanting to do it ever since. Be sure to carry around the carton of salt with you for extra authenticity.morton salt

yellow flats // yellow dress // knee high socks // purple umbrella

Happy Halloween!
